We are looking for a full-time Safety Technician with a HS Diploma or Equivalent along with certification to OSHA 511 Standards for General Industry and 2 years' experience in the safety field. Wages may range from $19.50 to $21.50 per hour based on qualifications/experience. More details about this exciting opportunity are listed below.

The Safety Technician must be familiar with and able to interpret OSHA regulations and rules and have excellent oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of employees, particularly at the senior management level. S/he must be able to influence and motivate a diverse and geographically dispersed work force dealing with a wide variety of safety and training issues.

The Safety Technician supports the workforce (in-house and contract), including, but not limited to investigating incidents and safety related issues, performing observations to assure compliance of OSHA regulations and safety rules and procedures, assisting during accident investigations, and training of safety rules and procedures. 

The Safety Technician will also work with the HS&E Manager to record incidents and accidents in applicable data reporting systems, maintain files of incidents and accidents, and by participating in general assembly meetings with employees and contractors.

This hourly position requires a HS Diploma or Equivalent along with certification to OSHA 511 Standards for General Industry and 2 years' experience in the safety field. Additional years of experience in industrial environment can be used in lieu of required certification. Good analytical, technical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.

Must be willing to work a rotating shift and work overtime as needed.
